Abstract

The growth of blister in the painted sample can be studied in terms of the fracture criteria of the film material, considering the initiation of blister to follow a double cantilever beam structure and further propagation and growth activated with the help of energy release at the tip of blister. Using simulation made calculations shows that the physical concept is reliable.
