Abstract

Two twinning-induced plasticity steels have been investigated for their high-strain-rate deformation behaviour. The stability of austenite is low at lower strain rates, but high when high-strain-rate deformation is used. The stability has been attributed due to the temperature rise during high-strain-rate deformation leading to dynamic recrystallization in the material
