Abstract

A method has been developed to analyse the elements present in coal and siliceous materials using the microwave digestion and AAS techniques. The results have been compared with the existing conventional method. The results are evaluated with the NIST standard coal samples. The overall comparison suggests that the microwave digestion system take less time as compared to the existing methods. In addition, the results are also comparable with existing digestion method.
