Abstract

Micromagnetic Barkhausen emissions were measured in hydrogenated steel samples. The hydrogenation was done by electrochemical charging with different current densities. About 20% change in the rms voltage value and more than 30% change in the peak voltage were obtained by hydrogenation. The results are explained by considering the reduction of the magneto-elastic anisotrophy energy due to modification of the internal stress by hydrogenation
