Abstract
Various factors influencing Miscibility in binary Al-solute systems like thermodynamic activity, excess stability functions, size factor, earonegetivity, ele-ctronic configuration and position of solutes in the periodic table have been considered and discussed. The concept of fumar's miscibility syndrome and experimen- tal results showing that clusters of likeluidike atoms exist in colloidal dispersion among xwatomic atoms In the liquid state have also been discussed.
