Abstract

The iron ore processing plant at Bolani mines of Steel Authority of India Ltd., India generates about 20-25% of ROM as slimes during wet operation. These slimes are very fine in nature (- 0.5mm) and its average iron content ranges between 52-55%. This material is presently being
discarded as process waste due to its inferior grade.
