Abstract
Ferro-alloys form an important group of products indis-pensable in the production of various types of steels. The production of ferroalloys on industrial scale was started in our country some thirty years ago. Calcium silicide is
one of such ferro-alloys which is currently imported to meet the requirements in the country.
