Abstract
The discovery and subsequent development of numerous metals and alloys for diverse applications are result of mankind's eternal quest for materials with improved performance. Increasing specialisation in this field of application of metals and emphasis on utilisation of ind-igenous resources call upon the metallurgical 'back room' boys to turn out new construction materials as expeci-tiously and economically as possible.
